In a steamy summer Florida swamp, a young Army Lieutenant sat under his poncho at Ranger School waiting out a thunderstorm. These mandatory inclement weather breaks were known as “Lightning Lockdown”, and under his poncho that day the tired Ranger candidate thought…that would be a great band name! 15 years later, he finally began making music as Lightning Lockdown. In 2024 he began working with music publishers in the music-for-film-and-TV space and started publicly releasing music in 2025.
